According to speculations, Apple, the biggest tech firm in the world, may be interested in buying the club for £5. 8 billion given that it is now on the market.

The IT company has reportedly expressed interest in purchasing United despite never having owned a major sports team before due to the marketing opportunities it would present.

Any agreement reached would almost probably shatter a record, with United set to surpass Todd Boehly’s earlier £4. 25 billion purchase price of Chelsea to become the most expensive football club in history.
