Puma Energy will invest USD 33 million to provide solar solutions to its commercial and industrial customers in Ghana and throughout Africa. The fourteen Puma Energy sites in Ghana serve as proof that the concept of solar installation works.
By the end of 2022, 200 locations across Puma Energy’s global network will have solar power installed. This is according to the company’s ESG strategy, which was released in July 2022.
The implementation of solar power agreements with Puma’s commercial and industrial clients will help Puma Energy achieve its goal of having 30% of its income (EBITDA) in Africa originate from clean and transitional fuels by 2027.
Battery storage enables the solar energy output at 11 of the 14 locations. Allowing the plants to function entirely on solar energy. Puma Energy manages four terminals and 75 retail locations overall in Ghana.
