On Tuesday, November 15, 2022, Justice D U. Okorowo of the Federal High Court in Abuja issued a bench warrant for fleeing James Richard Nolan, a Briton, for jumping bail and failing to appear before him for trial.

Nolan, a director of Goidel Resources Limited, a DNFI, and another company, ICIL Limited, are on trial on 16 counts of money laundering.

The defense counsel Michael Ajara informed the court that his team was on the trail of the defendant, prompting the prosecution counsel to request that the court issue a bench warrant on the defendant and his surety to show cause why his properties should not be forfeited to the Federal Government.

Following that, the judge issued the defendant a bench warrant and ordered the surety to appear before him on the next adjourned date to show cause why his properties should not be forfeited to the government.
