The first office of an IT company, Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS), has reportedly been established in Lagos, Nigeria.
Amrote Abdella, the company’s regional manager for sub-Saharan Africa, stated that the office was opening in order to strengthen its commitment to Africa.
She said, “We are thrilled to launch our first AWS office in Nigeria. Lagos is home to several renowned Nigerian businesses leading the world in digital innovation”; as well as a talent pool of highly competent and creative individuals.
She claims that AWS Academy supports instructors and university students in gaining knowledge; and expertise in AWS cloud computing to hasten their learning in this area.
