Nigerian Non-oil Exports Reach $2.6 billion in Six months

According to Dr. Ezra Yakusak, Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council, Nigeria’s non-oil export sector generated $2. 6 billion in revenue in the first half of 2022.

In order to expand the non-oil export sector of the economy, he expressed the Federal Government’s commitment to the start of numerous programs and projects.

The Chief Executive Officer delivered a speech in Ado Ekiti at a two-day export hand-holding program; that NEPC organized for young entrepreneurs in Ekiti State. The Chief Executive Officer was represented by the Assistant Director, NEPC National Export Office.

He exhorted young people to get more involved in the federal government’s economic diversification program; for inclusive and sustainable economic growth.

It’s interesting to note that non-oil export performance was estimated at $2. 6 billion in the first half of 2022, up 62. 37 percent from the N1.60 billion achieved in the same period of 2012, Yakusak stated.
