Security personnel and Former leader Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, have found a total of 58 petroleum bunker tapping locations on the nation’s oil pipelines in the states of Delta and Bayelsa.
The breakthrough occurred as a result of threats issued to the leader of the Tantita Security Services Limited (TSSL); by bunkers upset with the now-defunct Organization for the Liberation of the Niger Delta’s commander; for disclosing their illegal operations in recent weeks. It has been robbing for more than eight to nine years.
The former leader expressed confidence that they would soon put an end to illicit oil bunkering. He stated, “We are gaining assistance from all the security agencies; both the ones in the state here and at the top.
He stated: “That is the more reason we are participating; if we notice any watercourse that is blocked with trees, we would bring in motor-saw personnel to chop it and we go inside.
