Nigeria Collaborates With India To Produce The Covid-19 Vaccine Locally.

In order to achieve vaccine equity in Nigeria, the Federal Government and the Serum Institute of India have announced a cooperation for local vaccine production.

Dr. Faisal Shuaib, ED/CEO of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency, revealed this. He said that the talks would serve as a springboard for Nigeria to become self-sufficient in vaccines.

The administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, according to Dr. Shuaib, has prioritized the manufacture of indigenous vaccines; “and this is one reason we have been engaging partners of interest on actualizing this extremely important project.”

“The meeting with Mr. Vijay Patil, Director International Business, Serum Institute of India, was how to collaborate on local vaccine production to advance vaccine equity in Nigeria.
