According to the Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria, the country’s cinemas sold 378 million tickets in August, bringing in N378 million.
When compared to the N294 million realized in August 2021, the figure represented a 28% rise. However, compared to July, with N471 million made; a 19% decrease in the number of tickets sold.
August had 37 movies released, grossing over NGN378 million.
“13 Hollywood movies made 72.4% of the total, while 16 Nollywood movies brought in little more than 22%.
