Yakubu Ahmed, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Nigeria to the State of Qatar; has asked for cooperation between the two nations to promote Nigerian culture in Qatar.
The Nigerian Principal Representative informed his Qatari host during a tour of the Katara Cultural Village about Nigeria’s rich cultural diversity, which is in traditional celebrations that include; carnivals, boat rides, fishing, dances, songs, horseback riding, and masquerades among various ethnic groups.
The mission will investigate the viability of inviting interested Nigerian public and private artists. As well as art galleries to exhibit their works at the Cultural Village in Doha.
In his briefing, Katara’s General Manager, Al Sulaiti, praised the collaboration proposal and encouraged the embassy to use the cultural village’s facilities; to display Nigerian culture through a series of exhibitions. He promised to support any similar events that the Embassy was ready to plan.
