Address Homes said property firms should embrace global shifts towards carbon emission reduction. The firm made the call during the two-day Real Estate Summit, held in Lagos last week.

The sales lead, Segun Ogunbiyi, in an interview said all hands should be on deck to promote environmental sustainability in the real estate sector. He said there should be various calls across the real estate sector and beyond. This is for individuals and business entities to prioritize clean and renewable sources of energy.

He said, “The world is trying to see how it can reduce the emission of carbon monoxide to secure nature. Real estate organizations need sustainable policies put in place. Also, Fossil-based power sources eradicated in order to embrace greener energy as practiced by Address Homes.

“When we talk about sustainability, there’s a green concept now. Projects needs certified LEED. For instance, if you do more of generators, you reduce it in order to safeguard the atmosphere.
When you put on a log of generators, there is carbon emission. Installing solar and electric systems would enhance ecosystem sustainability.

Regarding the recent money laundering act, Ogunbiyi said to prevent fraudulent acts, real estate firms should practice the stipulated economic guideliness.
