The Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria said it is adopting an Outcome-Based Education (OBE) system in the training of a new set of engineers in the country that would make them employable globally.

The council added that it is setting new standards to ensure all university students acquire skills that will make them operate under the 21st-century economy.

COREN Registrar Dr Joseph Odigure said its focus was on producing graduates that would meet local and international demands.
