After eight months of decline, Nigeria’s headline inflation rate rose to 15.36% in December 2021, from 15.50% recorded in November. The Statistician-General of the Federation, Simon Harry, disclosed this on Monday during a press briefing at the National Bureau of Statistics, Abuja. Earlier data from the NBS showed that headline inflation has been on a downward trajectory since April 2021. However, the trend was broken in December when year-on-year inflation climbed 0.23 points higher than the figure recorded in November. – Punch Share this: Share on X (Opens in new window) X Share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Facebook Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window) LinkedIn Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window) WhatsApp Share on Telegram (Opens in new window) Telegram Like this:Like Loading… Related Post navigation Parallex transforms from microfinance to commercial bank Nigeria: President Buhari to unveil CBN rice pyramids
