Verdant holds first close for hybrid capital Fund

Hybrid Fund initially has $36 million of committed capital Support for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises through investment in financial institutions

Verdant Capital Hybrid Fund (VCHF) has reached its first closing with committed capital of $36 million. The fund is targeting high developmental impact, including job creation and income generation through SMEs and micro-entrepreneurship.

The fund will target specialist banks, microfinance institutions, leasing, and factoring companies, fintech and other non-bank financial institutions.

Verdant Capital, an investment manager operating on a pan-African basis domiciled in Germany, has a successful track record of advising and investing in the financial service market for MSME in Africa.
