In posters circulating on social media, the protesters identified different areas of convergence for Monday’s protest to be Unity Fountain, Airport road, AYA, Nyanya, Kuje and Mararaba.
Currently, the Kuje road leading to Shehu Musa Yar’Adua expressway has been blocked.
The protesters also blocked the Airport road, leaving motorists stranded and preventing workers from reaching their workplaces.
Also, commercial vehicles going into the city centre could not go through.
As of 9:30 pm on Sunday, the protesters demanding an end to police brutality blocked the two entrances of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) head office in Abuja.
They vowed to prevent activities at the nation’s apex bank on Monday.
Soldiers have been stationed at some of the locations of the planned protest.
The soldiers mounted a barricade at AYA roundabout.
