Buhari To Inaugurate Itakpe-Warri Speed Train Tuesday

The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), will inaugurate Nigeria’s first standard gauge train, the Itakpe-Ajaokuta-Warri rail line, on Tuesday (today).

Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation, Fidet Okhiria, said on Sunday the President would not be physically present at the event but would conduct the inauguration virtually.

He said the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, would lead other members of the Federal Executive Council as well as other government functionaries to the event.
