Strategic partnerships are becoming increasingly important in shaping Nigeria’s industrial future, and leading gas and power company Axxela believes collaboration is the driving force behind sustainable economic growth. As industries continue to seek reliable and cleaner energy sources, the company says working closely with stakeholders across multiple sectors will accelerate industrial expansion while strengthening the country’s transition to a gas-powered economy.
Speaking in Lagos, the Executive Vice President of Axxela Gas Distribution, Kehinde Alabi, emphasized that meaningful collaboration between energy providers, businesses, and policymakers is essential for unlocking Nigeria’s industrial potential. He explained that partnerships will not only improve energy access but also increase productivity, encourage investment, and support long-term economic development across Nigeria and the wider Sub-Saharan African region.
Axxela also announced that it has connected several new customers to its expanding natural gas pipeline network, marking another milestone in its efforts to deepen domestic gas utilization. The latest additions include businesses operating in manufacturing, hospitality, pharmaceutical, agriculture, and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), highlighting the growing demand for cleaner and more dependable energy solutions among major industries.
Among the newly connected customers are Radisson Blu Anchorage Hotels, Sheraton Hotels, Jawa International Limited, Solem Agro, and Abimbola Agro. According to the company, these connections were made possible through Gaslink Nigeria Limited, one of Axxela’s subsidiaries, which continues to expand gas infrastructure across key industrial clusters. The development is expected to reduce dependence on more expensive and environmentally harmful energy alternatives while improving operational efficiency for businesses.
As Nigeria continues to pursue its vision of a gas-powered economy, Axxela says its investments in energy infrastructure will remain focused on increasing domestic gas utilization, supporting industrialization, and promoting cleaner energy solutions. With stronger public and private sector partnerships, the company believes Nigeria can unlock greater economic opportunities, create a more resilient industrial sector, and build a sustainable energy future that benefits businesses and communities alike.
