The Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) has taken a major step toward modernizing tax administration with the launch of its new digital platform, Rev360, aimed at boosting voluntary tax compliance across the country. The agency says the innovation will make tax services more accessible, transparent, and user-friendly for individuals and businesses.
Unveiled at an official event, Rev360 is described as a next-generation tax administration system designed to deliver a more integrated and intelligent experience for taxpayers. According to the Executive Chairman of the NRS, Dr. Zacch Adedeji, the platform represents a shift toward “Tax Administration 3.0,” focusing on improved service delivery, stronger compliance systems, and simplified tax processes.
Dr. Adedeji explained that the initiative reflects the agency’s transformation from a traditional accounting body into a fully technology-driven institution. He noted that the goal is to align Nigeria’s tax system with global best practices while adapting to the evolving needs of businesses and taxpayers in a digital economy.
The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Taiwo Oyedele, also praised the initiative, describing digital platforms like Rev360 as essential for strengthening revenue systems, improving the ease of doing business, and building investor confidence. He emphasized that technology-driven tax systems are now critical to sustainable economic growth and transparency.
Further explaining the platform’s impact, the Executive Director of the Medium and Emerging Taxpayers Group, Bolaji Akintola, said Rev360 is part of a broader reform to simplify taxpayer engagement. She revealed that about 600,000 taxpayers have already been onboarded, with the system streamlining registration, filing, payments, and compliance processes for greater convenience and efficiency.
