Transcorp Hotels Reports N32.8 Billion Profit in FY2025, Declares N1.20 Final Dividend
Transcorp Hotels Plc has announced a strong finish to 2025, posting a full-year pretax profit of N32.8 billion, marking a 45% increase from the previous year. The growth was primarily driven by revenue, which surged 38.4% to N97 billion, reflecting strong performance across its hotel operations, including room bookings and food and beverage services.
The company also revealed plans to reward shareholders with a final dividend of N1.20 per share, payable on February 27, 2026. This brings the total dividend for 2025 to N1.30 per share, including a 10 kobo interim dividend paid in August, almost doubling the 2024 payout of N0.74 per share. At the current market price of N170.9, the final dividend represents a yield of 0.70%, signaling growing investor confidence.
Revenue growth was led by room sales, which jumped to N63.1 billion from N45.5 billion in 2024. Food and beverage sales also contributed significantly, rising to N29 billion, while other revenue streams added smaller but steady support. Despite an increase in operating expenses, which reached N39.68 billion, the company maintained a healthy operating profit of N35.2 billion, a 35% rise year-on-year.
On the balance sheet, Transcorp Hotels strengthened its financial foundation, with total assets expanding to N159.9 billion, up 13.7% from 2024. Property, plant, and equipment made up the largest portion at N124.8 billion, while cash balances nearly doubled to N16.9 billion. Shareholders’ equity also increased to N95.2 billion, supported by rising retained earnings of N77.5 billion, highlighting sustained profitability.
The stock market has yet to fully respond to these results, which were released on January 30, 2026. After slipping 2.9% in December 2025, Transcorp Hotels’ shares are trading at N170.9, though analysts expect a positive market reaction as investors recognize the company’s robust financial performance and commitment to shareholder returns.
