Nvidia has shattered expectations with a record $57 billion in third-quarter revenue, marking a 62% increase from the same period last year. The company’s net income also surged 65% to $32 billion, surpassing Wall Street forecasts and signaling that Nvidia’s AI-driven growth shows no signs of slowing.
The data center segment continues to fuel Nvidia’s expansion, generating $51.2 billion in revenue—a 66% rise year-over-year and a 25% increase from the previous quarter. Gaming, professional visualization, and automotive segments accounted for the remaining $5.8 billion, with gaming alone contributing $4.2 billion. These results highlight the company’s diverse revenue streams while underscoring its dominance in AI infrastructure.
Nvidia CFO Colette Kress credited the surge to accelerating computing demand, powerful AI models, and large-scale AI infrastructure projects. In Q3, the company announced AI factory and infrastructure deployments totaling five million GPUs. “This demand spans every market, including cloud providers, sovereigns, enterprises, and supercomputing centers,” Kress said.
CEO Jensen Huang also highlighted strong sales of Nvidia’s Blackwell GPUs, calling them “off the charts,” while noting that cloud GPUs have sold out. Huang emphasized that AI adoption is accelerating across industries and regions, fueling a “virtuous cycle” of AI innovation. However, shipments of the H20 GPU, designed for generative AI, were limited to 50 million units due to geopolitical restrictions in China, a setback Kress acknowledged.
Looking ahead, Nvidia forecasts Q4 revenue of $65 billion, prompting a 4% boost in after-hours trading. Huang dismissed AI bubble concerns, stating that the company’s growth reflects real, sustained demand rather than speculative hype. “The AI ecosystem is scaling fast—doing everything, everywhere, all at once,” Huang said, cementing Nvidia’s role at the forefront of the AI revolution.
