Alles Charis Gas Limited has taken a significant step in deepening domestic LPG supply in Nigeria by commissioning a 500-metric-tonne inland storage facility in Ore, Ondo State. This development aligns with the Federal Government’s goal to expand national LPG consumption and accelerate the nation’s shift toward cleaner, more sustainable energy sources. The new depot is expected to improve energy availability across the Southwest corridor.
Strategically located along a key interstate route connecting the South-South, Southwest, and Northern markets, the Ore facility will enhance midstream operations, reduce transportation turnaround times for LPG trucks, and strengthen last-mile distribution networks for households, commercial users, and industrial clients. The move signals a milestone in improving operational efficiency and supply security in Nigeria’s domestic LPG sector.
Peter Fayomi, General Manager of Projects at Alles Charis Gas, emphasized the socio-economic impact of the depot, noting that it not only secures LPG supply but also lays the groundwork for future expansion. Provisions are already in place to scale the facility up to 2,000 metric tonnes, ensuring resilience and stability in the domestic LPG value chain as demand continues to grow.
Tomiwa Oluwafemi, General Manager of Logistics Operations, highlighted that the investment goes beyond infrastructure. By lowering energy access barriers and delivering clean energy faster and more affordably, the project is set to transform lives, create jobs, and stimulate local economic activity. Communities around Ore are expected to benefit from improved energy availability, reducing reliance on biomass fuels and supporting public health.
The Ore hub also represents a broader vision for environmental sustainability and community empowerment. By strengthening domestic LPG supply and supporting small businesses that rely on gas for operations, Alles Charis Gas is contributing to cleaner energy adoption, improved livelihoods, and a greener future for Nigeria.
