FCMB Appoints Oluyinka Johnson as Non-Executive Director to Strengthen Board Diversity and Governance
First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has officially announced the appointment of Ms. Oluyinka Johnson as a Non-Executive Director, following approval from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). This strategic move highlights FCMB’s dedication to strong governance and building a leadership team that drives innovation and sustainable growth.
Ms. Johnson brings over 20 years of experience in strategic leadership, operational excellence, and corporate transformation across the financial and business sectors. Her career includes leadership roles at First Bank of Nigeria Ltd, where she served as Group Head of First Shared Services (FSS) Banking Operations and Head of Corporate Transformation, spearheading automation initiatives and process optimization.
Before joining First Bank, Oluyinka co-founded Integrated Business Strategies, a consultancy advising top-tier financial institutions on strategy, transformation, performance optimization, and organizational restructuring. Her early career includes experience as a Development Engineer in leading pharmaceutical companies in the UK and USA, reflecting a diverse professional background that spans multiple industries.
A WimBoard Fellow and advocate for women in leadership, Ms. Johnson is passionate about corporate governance and innovation. Her appointment strengthens FCMB’s board diversity, bringing fresh perspectives to the bank’s strategic decision-making and reinforcing its commitment to inclusive, responsible banking practices.
Oluyinka holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of South Bank, London, and an MBA from Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University. FCMB’s Board of Directors welcomed her appointment, emphasizing her expertise in governance, operational excellence, and corporate transformation as a key driver for delivering sustainable value to stakeholders.
