The recognition, presented at Eko Hotels in Lagos, celebrates the bank’s dedication to providing transformative financial solutions that align with ethical and sustainable principles.

AICIF, a leading platform for thought leadership and innovation in Islamic finance, honoured The Alternative Bank for its outstanding commitment to advancing the practice of non-interest finance. The awards highlight institutions and individuals demonstrating excellence, innovation, and impact in reshaping Africa’s financial landscape.

Speaking on the achievement, Korede Demola-Adeniyi, Executive Director (South) at The Alternative Bank, said the award is a validation of the bank’s mission to merge innovation with integrity. “This award affirms what we’ve always believed — that innovation and integrity can coexist at the heart of banking. It reflects the trust our clients place in us and our shared vision of a more sustainable and inclusive future,” she noted.

Chairman of the AICIF Award Panel, Prof. AbdulRazzaq Alaro, praised the transparency of the selection process, commending the awardees for their commitment to advancing ethical and interest-free finance models in Africa. “The AICIF awards are a special way of recognising the exceptional innovation and dedication demonstrated by individuals and organisations in advancing Islamic finance across the continent,” he said.
