Seplat Energy PLC has posted impressive financial results for the nine months ended September 30, 2025, with revenues soaring to N3.356 trillion, up from N1.071 trillion in the same period last year. The company also recorded a substantial jump in gross profit, which rose to N1.356 trillion from N531.5 billion year-on-year.

The company announced a total dividend payout of 7.5 US cents per share, including a base dividend of 5 US cents and a special dividend of 2.5 US cents, reflecting its strong cash generation and commitment to returning value to shareholders. Cash generated from operations reached N2.152 trillion, a significant increase from N633.8 billion recorded in 2024, while operating profit rose to N1.096 trillion.

Seplat’s operational performance has also strengthened, with production averaging 135,636 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd) over the nine months, up 185% from 47,525 boepd in 2024. The company achieved a milestone by selling its first Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cargo to the domestic market, enhancing energy access and promoting clean cooking. The ANOH gas plant is on track to deliver its first gas in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Commenting on the results, CEO Roger Brown said, “As we approach the first anniversary of the MPNU acquisition, we are demonstrating our ability to operate at scale. We delivered a third consecutive quarter of production growth and generated after-tax cash flows exceeding $1 billion, enabling significant debt reduction. The strong cash generation supports a special dividend this quarter, aligned with our new dividend policy.”

Looking ahead, Seplat remains focused on its ambitious 2030 roadmap, targeting 200 kboepd working interest production and $1 billion in cumulative dividends. The company is progressing toward ending routine flaring onshore and completing the PIA conversion process for its onshore operations, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable growth and energy transition in Nigeria.
