In a move that reinforces its leadership in Africa’s tech ecosystem, MTN Nigeria has renewed its partnership as the Headline Sponsor for Tech Revolution Africa 2.0, the continent’s leading innovation gathering. The highly anticipated event, themed “The Big Bold Step,” is set to take place from January 30–31, 2026, at the Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos. The collaboration reflects MTN’s unwavering commitment to supporting innovation, empowering Africa’s youth, and accelerating the region’s digital transformation.

Building on the success of its debut in 2024, MTN’s continued support promises to elevate the event into a more dynamic platform for collaboration, idea exchange, and investment opportunities. The previous edition helped spark groundbreaking conversations and partnerships across Africa’s tech industry — from Lagos to Kigali and Nairobi to Cape Town — positioning the continent as a rising hub for innovation and digital growth.

Speaking about the renewed sponsorship, MTN Nigeria’s Chief Information Officer, Shoyinka Shodunke, expressed optimism about Africa’s growing influence in the global technology scene. “Tech Revolution Africa 2.0 is more than an innovation showcase; it’s Africa’s bold declaration that we are not just participants but leaders shaping the global tech future,” he said. Shodunke added that Africa’s creativity and resilience continue to inspire the world as the continent redefines the boundaries of technological advancement.

David Ogebe, Co-founder of Tech Revolution Africa, revealed that the 2026 edition will be “bigger, bolder, and more transformative,” gathering over 5,000 participants, 80 speakers, 38 exhibitors, and 15 product showcases. The event will host industry leaders, policymakers, innovators, and investors from across the continent, creating a platform for meaningful collaborations and deal-making within Africa’s fast-growing digital economy.

Another co-founder, Glory Olamigoke, encouraged technology enthusiasts and industry stakeholders not to miss the event. “This is a unique opportunity to engage directly with visionaries shaping Africa’s digital future,” she said. With its ambitious lineup and forward-looking agenda, Tech Revolution Africa 2.0 stands poised to cement its position as one of the continent’s most influential gatherings — a catalyst for innovation and a beacon of Africa’s digital rise.
