Africa’s largest fintech gathering, Nigeria Fintech Week (NFW25), is set to bring together over 20,000 stakeholders, investors, and policymakers from October 7 to 9, 2025. Themed “The Fintech Ecosystem Symphony: Orchestrating Nigeria’s Digital Future”, the event will take place across Lagos, Abuja, and Enugu, with global participants joining through hybrid platforms.

Organisers highlight how fintech has evolved from a niche financial service into a major driver across multiple sectors, including healthcare, agriculture, entertainment, transport, media, and education. According to Dr. Jameelah Sharrieff-Ayedun, Vice President of the Fintech Association of Nigeria, fintech now acts as a “central rhythm” shaping Nigeria’s economic future, from microinsurance and smallholder farmer credit to creator economy payouts and safer retail transactions.

Seun Folorunsho, Executive Secretary of the Planning Committee, explained that NFW25 will offer a reimagined conference structure with multiple simultaneous tracks designed for different ecosystem actors. “Each track will serve policymakers, innovators, corporates, creators, SMEs, and youth. Our digital future works only when every instrument in the orchestra plays in harmony,” Folorunsho noted.

The conference will feature more than 20 thematic tracks, allowing participants to directly engage with key policymakers, regulators, investors, and innovators. Confirmed regulatory participants include the Central Bank of Nigeria, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation, the National Information Technology Development Agency, and the National Identity Management Commission.

With hybrid participation from global players, NFW25 aims to foster collaboration, boost investment confidence, and accelerate the growth of Nigeria’s fintech ecosystem. Organisers are confident that the event will continue to position Nigeria as a leading hub for digital innovation across Africa.
