The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) has officially welcomed its new Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO), Mr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari, as he takes over from his predecessor, Mr. Mele Kyari. During the handover ceremony at the NNPC Towers on Friday, Ojulari expressed his gratitude to Kyari for his exceptional leadership and contributions to the growth of the company. Ojulari emphasized that his primary goal is to build on the successes of Kyari’s leadership and take the company to greater heights, despite the challenging targets ahead.
Ojulari acknowledged the importance of teamwork and the cooperation of NNPC’s management and staff in achieving the set objectives. He highlighted the need for ongoing counsel and support from Kyari to help guide him through this transition. In his remarks, Kyari congratulated Ojulari and expressed his commitment to supporting the new leadership. He reassured the staff that he would always be available to offer advice and guidance as needed.
In addition to the leadership change, NNPC Ltd also unveiled a new eight-member Senior Management Team, with Ojulari at the helm. This revamped team is poised to drive the company forward in its next phase of growth and operations. The new appointments include Rowland Ewubare as the Group Chief Operating Officer, Adedapo Segun as Group Chief Financial Officer, and Olalekan Ogunleye as Executive Vice President of Gas, Power & New Energy.
The remaining members of the Senior Management Team are Udy Ntia (Executive Vice President of Upstream), Mumuni Dangazau (Executive Vice President of Downstream), Sophia Mbakwe (Executive Vice President of Business Services), and Adesua Dozie (Company Secretary & Chief Legal Officer). These appointments are seen as crucial steps in ensuring the continued success and innovation at NNPC Ltd under its new leadership
