Schneider Electric has reaffirmed its dedication to expanding its presence in the data centre market across East and West Africa, regions that are becoming increasingly significant due to rapid digital transformation and rising internet usage. The company sees tremendous growth opportunities in the African data center market, providing a favorable environment for resellers and distributors to strengthen their capabilities and deepen relationships with local end users.

Rohan de Beer, End User Sales Director for Anglophone Africa, highlighted the unprecedented growth of the African data centre market and the opportunity for Schneider Electric to engage more directly with end users. The company had previously relied solely on external channels, which often resulted in missed opportunities and heightened competition. To address these issues, Schneider Electric has adopted a dual approach that combines external channels with closer engagement with end users, aiming to influence technology decisions and expand market share.

In addition to the new engagement strategy, Schneider Electric is investing in training and resources for its partners and distributors. The company has rolled out instructor-led sessions and self-paced learning resources, with successful training completions in East, West, and Southern Africa. These initiatives aim to empower local partners with technical knowledge, thereby enhancing their ability to serve the growing data centre market in the region.
