To celebrate its 75th anniversary, the United Bank for Africa (UBA) has partnered with Mastercard to launch a special commemorative debit card aimed at honoring UBA’s long-standing customer relationships. The card offers unique benefits to customers, including discounts and cashback, such as 25% off purchases on Jumia and $75 cashback on AliExpress transactions. UBA’s Group Managing Director/CEO, Oliver Alawuba, shared that this initiative reflects UBA’s commitment to enhancing customer experience through exclusive offerings and improved convenience.
Alawuba also emphasized the significance of the partnership with Mastercard, noting that it aligns with both companies’ shared mission to empower Africans through secure and accessible financial services. The commemorative card, he said, represents a deepened relationship between UBA and Mastercard, and it marks a step forward in providing valuable tools for financial empowerment across the African continent. UBA also has plans to expand similar products across its subsidiaries, reinforcing its commitment to growth and innovation in Africa.
