Customs ushers in new leadership with the latest appointments

As the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) marks the retirement of several senior officials, Comptroller General Adewale Adeniyi has introduced a series of strategic leadership changes to enhance operational efficiency and foster excellence. The appointments aim to ensure a smooth transition and continuity in the NCS’s mission. Key appointees include BM Jibo as Deputy Comptroller General (DCG) of Finance Administration and Technical Services, and OA Alajogun as Acting DCG for Enforcement, Inspection, and Investigation, among others.

The new acting roles, which include leadership for Training, Doctrine, and Human Resource Development, signify the NCS’s commitment to strong, dedicated leadership. Adeniyi emphasized the importance of these changes in maintaining high-performance standards within the Customs Service, particularly in areas such as revenue generation, anti-smuggling efforts, and trade facilitation.

These appointments underscore the NCS’s dedication to an adaptable, results-oriented approach in its operations.
