The Nigerian government has given out N24.78 billion to help 991,261 poor families across the country. This is part of a program to reduce poverty and help families with their needs.

Each family received N25,000 in September 2024. The program is called the National Cash Transfer Programme, and it aims to make life easier for poor families by improving their health, helping them save money, and making them happier.

The government said this cash transfer is part of President Bola Tinubu’s plan, called the Renewed Hope Agenda, to improve the lives of Nigerians.

The goal is to help the families in need and make sure the money reaches them safely and quickly. The government is also working on improving school feeding programs to ensure more children get food at school.
