Aviation minister signs MoU with Boeing to facilitate aircraft acquisition

Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Boeing to advance the country’s aviation sector.

The MoU, signed in Seattle, USA, involves key Nigerian aviation stakeholders and aims to enhance the operational efficiency and safety of Nigerian airlines.

Boeing will assist in the acquisition of newer aircraft, provide technical support, and offer comprehensive training to improve the business practices and operational efficiency of Nigerian airlines.

The agreement also includes Boeing providing Nigerian airlines with access to maintenance documents, engineering drawings, and flight operations resources, as well as on-site field services.

A leadership development program will be implemented to strengthen the leadership pipeline within the airlines.

Boeing will collaborate with Nigerian aviation authorities to enhance safety oversight in the region, further supporting the growth of Nigeria’s aviation industry.
