The National Oil and Gas Suppliers Association of Nigeria (NOGASA) has called on the Federal Government to tackle the issue of multiple taxation, which it claims is negatively impacting business operations across the country.

During a press briefing in Abuja, NOGASA President Benneth Korie highlighted the burden of excessive and double taxation on businesses and stressed the need for government intervention to create a fairer business environment.

Korie’s concerns also extended to other key areas such as the availability of refined petroleum products, infrastructure development, and the fight against smuggling.

He praised Aliko Dangote for his contributions to the oil industry through the establishment of Nigeria’s largest refinery and advocated for broader access to Dangote’s refined products by various stakeholders to ensure widespread distribution.

Additionally, Korie urged the government to enhance security at border points to combat smuggling and suggested prioritizing agriculture to address inflation and food security.

He recommended making farming more attractive through subsidies and increased budget allocations to boost food production sustainably.
