Ibom Air expands fleet operations, takes delivery of second Airbus

Ibom Air has welcomed the arrival of its second Airbus A220-300, furthering its goal to expand fleet operations in Akwa Ibom State.

The aircraft, which landed at Lagos’ Murtala Mohammed International Airport on August 10, 2024, was officially received by the Akwa Ibom State government at Victor Attah International Airport, Uyo.

The acquisition aligns with Ibom Air’s strategy to increase capacity, enhance route networks, and support economic growth in the region.

Chairman of Ibom Air, Pastor Imoabasi Jacob, praised the management’s resilience, while Governor Pastor Umo Eno emphasized the importance of this addition for the state’s aviation sector.

Ibom Air’s CEO, Mr. Mfon Udom, highlighted that the new Airbus would significantly boost the airline’s capacity to meet rising service demands, reaffirming the airline’s commitment to delivering reliable and efficient services.
