Coronation Merchant Bank, a leading investment bank in Nigeria, has appointed Paul Abiagam as its Acting Managing Director/CEO, effective immediately.
This move is part of the bank’s plan for leadership succession to maintain its position and innovation in the African financial sector.
Paul Abiagam, previously the Deputy Managing Director, has been recognized for his role in improving the bank’s financial and operational success.
His experience includes significant roles in corporate, commercial, and consumer banking, as well as a strong focus on strategic business development and wealth management.
The bank’s Chairman, Babatunde Folawiyo, praised Abiagam’s leadership skills and experience.
Abiagam, who joined the bank in 2023, has held several prominent positions both locally and internationally, including roles at Guaranty Trust Bank and Guaranty Trust Pension Managers.
He holds degrees from the University of Benin and Lagos Business School, and is a member of several professional institutions.
