Several factors are contributing to this optimistic outlook. New cinema openings, higher ticket prices, and foreign investment in local productions are all expected to play a significant role. Additionally, the growing middle class and the availability of premium cinema formats are set to enhance the overall movie-going experience, further driving admissions. Filmone’s report projects a total admission rate of 3 million for 2024, with ticket prices averaging N4,000.
Nollywood is poised for a particularly profitable year with high-profile releases from top stars like Funke Akindele, Toyin Abraham, and Odunlade Adekola. Hollywood blockbusters, including “The Beekeeper,” “Dune 2,” and “Kung Fu Panda 4,” are also expected to draw significant crowds.
