New Export Policy Requires “Nigeria Export Proceeds” Form for NPA Bookings

0 207

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) is implementing a new policy requiring exporters to fill out a “Nigeria Export Proceeds (NXP)” form before booking export trucks on the “Eto” platform. This online system manages truck access to ports.

The NXP form provides information on exported goods to authorized dealers in the export process, such as banks and customs services. This aims to improve processing efficiency at export terminals.

Exporters will now need an NXP application number for their shipment to activate a booking on Eto. Only containers with NXP applications in the final approval stage will be allowed to leave export terminals for the port. Trucks without a completed NXP process will be denied port access.

This new policy is expected to streamline export processing by ensuring all necessary information is available and approvals are obtained before cargo arrives at the port.
