Tanzania and Kenya have finally resolved a trade dispute regarding the export of poultry and poultry products between the two countries, as announced by the East African Community (EAC). The resolution came after a two-day consultative meeting at the EAC headquarters in North Tanzania.
Rabson Wanjala, Co-chair of the meeting and representative of the Kenyan High Commissioner to Tanzania, emphasized the collaborative efforts between the two nations to enhance trade relations. He emphasized the importance of collaborative trade to boost economic activities within the region.
Benezeth Lutege Malinda, Acting Director of Veterinary Services in Tanzania’s Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries, reaffirmed Tanzania’s commitment to addressing trade hindrances, particularly non-tariff barriers. He stated that Tanzania is actively working to resolve issues to promote seamless trade between the two countries.
