President Bola Tinubu has praised Dangote Oil and Gas Limited for slashing the price of Automotive Gas Oil (diesel), which could have a significant impact on the cost of various goods and services.
The company recently lowered the gantry price of diesel from N1,650 to N1,000 per litre for purchases of one million litres or more. Additionally, they offer a discount of N30 per litre for purchases exceeding five million litres.
This price adjustment represents a substantial 60% decrease, according to President Tinubu, signaling potential relief for consumers and businesses alike. In a statement by Presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale, it was emphasized that such initiatives contribute to Nigeria’s economic prosperity.
President Tinubu urged Nigerians and businesses to prioritize national interests, emphasizing the importance of a conducive environment for business growth and prosperity. He assured citizens of the government’s commitment to providing security and support for businesses to thrive.
