Kingsley Achife, the Managing Director of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC), has issued an appeal to customers, urging them to refrain from assaulting the company’s workers in the field.
In his Eid-il-Fitri statement, Achife stressed the importance of reporting complaints through official channels such as IBEDC offices or the customer care line, highlighting that assaulting company staff carries serious consequences, including possible jail terms. He also warned against tampering with electrical installations, citing the potential dangers of such actions, which could result in electrical accidents.
Furthermore, Achife advised communities to remain vigilant and report any suspected acts of vandalism on electrical installations.
