On Wednesday, Sidi-Ali Hakama, the acting director of Corporate Communication at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), through a circular dated January 10, 2024, appointed Yetunde Oni as its new Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer.
This decision comes during a challenging period, marked by the dissolution of the Board and Management of three prominent banks, including Union Bank, Keystone Bank, and Polaris Bank.
Expressing confidence in Yetunde Oni’s leadership abilities, Hakama stated, “Her extensive experience in the banking indu.stry is what Union Bank needs to navigate the current situation.”
