In response to a traffic accident that occurred on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway on Sunday, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) advised drivers to consider using alternate routes. This information was released in a statement from the Corps Public Education Officer (CPEO), Mr. Bisi Kazeem, in Abuja.
According to Kazeem, a tanker crashed early on Sunday under the Ibafo pedestrian bridge on the road that leads out of Lagos. He said that since the incident, FRSC officials and various security organizations had been monitoring the situation.
He continued by saying that as Ogun State Fire Service personnel continued to refill their water supplies, the contents of the downed vehicle had been successfully transferred to another.
