The Housing Development Advocacy Network has called on the federal government to pay N200 billion in interventions for low-cost housing approved by the Central Bank of Nigeria. This he has been on hold for three years.

Festus Adebayo, executive director of the group, said 2020 housing intervention loan approvals have been signed for income earners in all states and the Federal Capital Territory, creating about 1.5 million jobs over five years.

Adebayo said he asked the CBN governor to tell Nigerians why he was delaying the release of the funds and urged the new government to ensure the funds were released to help provide public housing.
