A defamation complaint including false accusations that Dominion Voting Systems’ software was involved in manipulating the 2020 U.S. presidential election in favor of Joe Biden has been settled for $787.5 million by Fox News, a conservative news and entertainment network in the United States.

Dominion had previously sued Fox News for $1.6 billion in damages over false claims that were made about the company on the network in the wake of the 2020 election. The company had been accused of echoing ex-president Donald Trump’s unfounded claims of a “stolen election” through some of its show hosts, commentators, and others.
