The Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, Zaria has announced an increased revision of the normal pilot course price from N7m to N13m owing to inflationary trends and currency rate volatility.
The normal pilot course cost was increased, according to the source, following extensive engagement with key stakeholders.
He asserted that Hadi Sirika, the minister of aviation, lacked the authority to unilaterally raise the cost.
Even with the price rise, the source continued, it was still the most cheap aviation training program in the world.
He pointed out that inflation had wiped off the majority of the subsidies for facilities, student manuals, and food, making them irrelevant.
