Arvind Pathak has been appointed as the new Chief Executive and Managing Director of Dangote Cement Plc. The new CEO’s tenure will begin on March 1, 2023, according to the company. Pathak will take over for Frenchman Michel Puchercos, who will leave the firm at the end of February after three years in charge.
Before becoming the chief operating officer and deputy managing director of Dangote Cement, Pathak led India’s Birla Corporation, a cement producer.
“In accordance with the Companies and Allied Matters Act, the appointment of Mr Arvind Pathak will be included on the agenda at the next Annual General Meeting for ratification by the shareholders,” Dangote Cement said.
