China Leads Nigeria’s Imports in the Q2 of 2022, while India Leads Exports.

According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, China was Nigeria’s top import source in the second quarter of 2022 – the import trade list.

On the other hand, with 18.7% or N949.05 billion of the total export, which was N5.08 trillion in the same quarter under review, India is at the top of the list of Nigeria’s largest export trade partners.

“Nigeria engaged in significant export commerce with Spain (4.55, 3.74, 4.30), Canada (6.52, 6.25, 6.89), India (6.52, 6.25, and 6.89) in the months of the second quarter of 2021 (April, May, and June) (2.35, 2.56, 1.94).

However, NBS said that the total value of trade in agricultural goods in Q2 2021 stood at N817.35billion, while the export component of this trade totaled N165.27billion and the import valued at N652.08 billion.
