The Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria recently conducted its 2022 annual industry dinner and awards ceremony in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where Shell Companies in Nigeria were recognized as the best local content operators.
Elohor Aiboni, the managing director of Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company’s deep-water operations, was also given the PETAN Chairman Outstanding Achievement Award as the only recipient, while her successor, Bayo Ojulari, won the PETAN Distinguished Achievement Award.
While presenting the prize to Shell’s officials, PETAN Chairman Mr. Nicolas Odinuwe said, “Shell Companies have always stood by local service companies, and they have been part of our local content journey right from the beginning, and have been constant.”
Shell Companies was cited by Odinuwe as a key supporter of growth of local content in Nigeria by driving the pre-legislation initiatives and providing funding intervention to give opportunity for even start-ups in the service sector to play in the oil and gas supply chain.
