Rwanda and Nigeria are the First African Countries to Sign the “Artemis Accords”.

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Artemis Accords have been signed by Nigeria and Rwanda. The documents were signed in Washington, DC, during the US-Africa Space Forum, which was held concurrently with the US-Africa Leaders’ Summit.

In order to provide a framework for collaboration in the civil exploration and peaceful utilization of the Moon, Mars, and other celestial objects, NASA and the US Department of State created the Artemis Accords.” The president of Rwanda, Paul Kagame, added that his nation could not be happier to join the agreement.

With the inclusion of Nigeria and Rwanda as signatories, a total of 23 countries have reaffirmed their dedication to open, secure, and environmentally friendly space exploration.
