According to the Impact Africa Summit, pharmaceutical R&D and clinical trials will be discussed in Africa.
Adebukunola Telufusi, Executive Director of IAS, stated at a press conference that the summit’s theme, “Clinical trials diversity with inclusion of Africa – Achieving clinical research equity, a key step towards healthcare innovation in Africa,” would be used to discuss and advance the creation of novel healthcare solutions and clinical research breakthroughs.
She stated that the Impact Africa Summit 2022, which would be held from December 1–3, 2022, had gained more attention from the perspective of the patient community and that it was essential to achieving the best interventions throughout Sub-Saharan Africa. The Impact Africa Summit 2022 will bring together a wide range of international subject matter experts, regulators, and government officials, Telufusi stated.
The summit, organised in partnership with Global Blood Therapeutics and Chinook Therapeutics will have three scientific symposiums, four workshops, over 20 speakers, forums, and a conference to foster necessary dialogue in eliminating health inequity in Africa.
