Osun State Government has announced the suspension of activities at the Olumirin Waterfalls at Erinjesa following the outbreak of coronavirus in the country.
Governor Gboyega Oyetola also announced the suspension of sporting activities in the state.
The announcements were made just after the Christian Association of Nigeria and the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs pledged to comply with the government’s ban on mass gatherings, including religious gatherings, to curb further spread of the virus.
The state had earlier banned public gatherings of more than 20 people and announced the closure of schools in the state.
